Screen sharing over the internet ?

I have my Macpro in my office, which is connected to a router and router is under a public ip. ..


Now i need to access my office computer from my home macbook pro,



How can i achieve it

You could use the Connect To dialog in the Finder and enter an address like this


vnc://124.123.122.121


However having ScreenSharing directly accessible over the Internet is also a potential security risk. A better and slightly more secure option would be to try the following.


  1. Log the Office Mac and your Home Mac in to the same iCloud account
  2. Turn on 'Back to my Mac' on the Office Mac in System Preferences -> iCloud
  3. On the Home Mac you should in theory see the Office Mac listed in the Finder window sidebar i.e. on the left and then be able to connect to it
